Jim Lambie

Born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1964, Jim Lambie is a Scottish artist best known for his installations of brightly colored vinyl tape, called “Zobops”, that form patterns across the floor of rooms and spaces. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art from 1990-94, and he was selected to represent Scotland in its inaugural appearance at the Venice Biennale in 2003. Two years later, he was shortlisted for the Turner Prize. He continues to live and work in Glasgow.
