Percy Bysshe Shelley

One of the major English Romantic poets, Percy Bysshe Shelley was born in 1792 in Sussex, England. He attended Oxford University, where he began publishing his work. He was expelled from Oxford in 1811 due to the publication of a pamphlet called The Necessity of Atheism. His mainstream following did not begin until long after his death in 1822, before his 30th birthday, due to his political radicalism.
