Ryoji Ikeda

Ryoji Ikeda was born in Gifu, Japan in 1966. Based in Paris, he is Japan's leading electronic composer and visual artist. His work utilizes sound and light in mathematical precision to create live performances and installations. Some of his ongoing projects include "datamatics", "test pattern", and "spectra". His work has been performed and exhibited internationally at venues including, Centre Pompidou, MIT, Tate Modern, Park Avenue Armory in New York, and Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo.
