Takahiro Iwasaki
Takahiro Iwasaki was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1975. He received his BA (1998), MA(2001) and PhD(2003) in Arts from Hiroshima City University. In 2005, he received a MFA with distinction from Edinburgh College of Art. Iwasaki is known for his miniature sculptures created with unconventional materials such as electrical tapes, toothbrush bristles and towels. His recent solo exhibitions include "Nichtlokalität" Nassauischer Kunstverein Wiesbaden (Wiesbaden, Germany, 2011), "Phenotypic Remodeling" ARATANIURANO (Tokyo, 2010), and "Structural Phase Transition Model " Art 41 Basel / Art Statements (Basel, Switzerland, 2010).
