Zdzisław Beksiński
Fantasy artist, Beksiński, was a Polish painter, photographer and sculptor born in 1929. Born in the southern town of Sanok, Poland, Beksiński studied architecture in Krakow. After working as a construction site supervisor, his interest in artistic endeavors grew. His first exhibition in Warsow in 1964 brought major success that continued the rest of his lifetime. He was murdered in the spring of 2005, after which his hometown dedicated a museum to the artist.
